Having recently created a wildlife pond in our garden, we are currently spending a lot of time thinking about aquatic plants and heading out every few hours to see what is happening in the pond. We've had visitor frogs, diving beetles, wasps and pigeons coming regularly to drink, some small birds taking baths... Every day there is something different happening.

We also spend some minutes cleaning up algae every few days, due to the pond having to establish itself. Having read this is normal for the first year we are simply following along and trusting the process.

I was a bit stuck creatively and I decided to go to a sewing retreat, a weekend spent with a bunch of nurturing women that share a common passion was enough to get me going again.

A couple of weeks after the retreat, my partner and I went to the Festival of Quilts 2024, really inspiring exposition of quilts and shopping day.
